Technical Manager - Air Conditioning Services

Shanly Homes, a privately-owned regional housebuilder, is seeking a Technical Manager to join their successful team in Beaconsfield. As a Technical Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all technical information is produced, checked, and distributed to programme, meeting quality and budget requirements.

About the Role
  1. Coordinate and review drawings to ensure they are practical and economic, making recommendations for improvements to reduce costs and time.
  2. Develop and manage effective relationships with appointed consultants, ensuring work is delivered to agreed deadlines.
  3. Ensure adherence to Building Regulations, NHBC, and other relevant professional bodies during project development.
  4. Identify and resolve design and building problems.
  5. Prepare and submit information for the discharge of planning conditions.
  6. Agree build sequence and obtain service information and quotations, including temporary building supplies and disconnections, to ensure construction build programme delivery.
  7. Prepare Operations and Maintenance Manuals, incorporating a Health and Safety File, for handover to the appointed Management Company or Housing Association.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry changes, regulatory updates, and the latest developments.
About You
  1. Strong technical experience working in the house building industry, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  2. Practical knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety, CDM Regulations, NHBC requirements, Building Regulations, planning system, and Codes of Practice.
  3. Confident negotiator.
  4. Strong team player across all teams and divisions.
  5. Ability to communicate well at all levels and with all parties.
