Academic Chemistry Specialist Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Chemistry Specialist to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd.

About the Position:

This is a temporary role with the possibility of becoming permanent. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching chemistry, preparing resources, and working with colleagues to enhance the chemistry curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach chemistry to students, focusing on engagement and diversity.
  • Provide individualized support to students requiring extra help.
  • Develop and organize teaching materials and interactive activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve the chemistry curriculum and share best practices.
  • Participate in science clubs, competitions, and school events to foster student interest in chemistry.
Required Qualifications:
  • Degree in Chemistry or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE).
  • Desirable: previous teaching experience with a proven track record of effective teaching and student progress.
  • Strong passion for Chemistry and commitment to supporting students.
  • Adaptability in teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and staying updated with educational best practices.
  • Enhanced DBS check required.
Estimated Salary:

£35,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on experience.
