Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead high-performing engineering teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet customer requirements
  • Develop and implement project strategies to ensure delivery of engineering aspects while meeting governance requirements
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers to define project organization and work breakdown structures
  • Define project-specific processes, practices, and tools to ensure delivery
  • Manage engineering team work packages, including resource allocation, budgets, risks, and timelines
  • Plan and prioritize activities to deliver solutions within contract schedules, costs, and quality
  • Manage day-to-day engineering team activities, proactively addressing issues, opportunities, and risks
  • Monitor and report engineering efficiency for the project
  • Identify re-use opportunities across the project
  • Align project-defined solutions with the Product Roadmap
  • Act as People Manager for the engineering team, providing feedback for people manager reviews
Requirements:
  • Extensive background in engineering and engineering management on large programmes
  • Demonstrable experience in successfully defining and leading delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering projects
  • Highly customer-focused with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving environment with multiple parallel objectives
  • Knowledge and experience of naval products beneficial
