Financial Books and Records Accounting Transformation Manager

About the Role:

The Financial Books and Records (FB&R) Transformation Initiative is a key component of Citi's Finance Transformation, comprising three pillars: Accounting, Ledgers, and Close. As the Accounting Transformation Manager, you will support the delivery of Citi's Finance Transformation priorities, focusing on the Strategic Ledger Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Product Owners/Workstream Leads in executing the FB&R Sub-Ledger & Accounting strategy and related workstreams.
  • Collaborate with existing Accounting and Sub-Ledger platforms to identify and define requirements for integration into the program roadmap.
  • Develop and implement multi-GAAP accounting rules for US GAAP, IFRS, and Local GAAP Accounting.
  • Drive data source identification and requirements gathering for the Accounting Hub and Sub-Ledger.
  • Participate in testing, deployment of system modules, and contribute to defining the future state service delivery and sustainment model.
  • Own workstream deliverables and manage intra- and inter-dependencies across business stakeholder groups.
  • Provide workstream-level metrics and business cases, including risk reduction and efficiency measures.
  • Deliver workstream communications and prepare updates for senior management forums.

Development Value:

  • Partner with the Accounting Transformation Director to coordinate alignment of Accounting Hub and Sub-Ledger functionality.
  • Participate in strategic ledger governance meetings and complete deliverables within the Integrated Project Plan.
  • BUILD STRONG RELATIONSHIPS WITH PROGRAM OFFICE LEADERS, SPONSORS, AND TECHNOLOGY LEADERS, AS WELL AS STAKEHOLDERS IN OTHER CITI-WIDE INITIATIVES.
  • Partner with other Product Owners to coordinate priorities and ensure consistency of deliverables and artifacts across all workstreams.

Requirements:

  • Years of relevant experience in the financial services industry are highly preferred.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills are required.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking products/systems is highly desirable.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
