At Finning International, we are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Machinery Reconditioning Specialist to join our team in the UK. This exciting role will see you working with industry-leading Caterpillar products, carrying out reconditioning and maintenance tasks on heavy machinery.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a quality service environment within the plant machinery or similar industries. A strong background in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical fitting knowledge is essential, as well as practical experience in operating construction equipment in confined spaces.

A key aspect of this role will be to undertake detailed inspections of machines to identify any necessary repairs or replacements. You will also be responsible for producing comprehensive lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake detailed inspections of machines to confirm or expand on initial field inspection reports
  • Carry out standard diagnosis tests on machine components to enable accurate cost evaluations or condition and warranty agreements
  • Produce comprehensive lists of parts and materials required for proposed machine preparation work
  • Undertake overhaul, repair, or refurbishment work on machines to agreed work plans

In addition to your technical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build positive relationships across all levels of the business.

We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £39,800 per annum, plus benefits including annual bonus, health care benefits, and access to company share scheme.
