Job Summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a skilled Ramp Agent to join our team. As a key member of our airport operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient handling of baggage and aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Load and unload baggage manually or mechanically, adhering to company procedures and safety protocols.
  • Sort and handle baggage in a timely and accurate manner, using BRS and Brock scanner systems as required.
  • Conduct area hazard checks and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Perform aircraft inspections and equipment checks, identifying and reporting any faults or irregularities.
  • Communicate effectively with flight deck personnel and other airport staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Operate ground support equipment, including towing and pushback vehicles, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Adhere to company uniform standards and maintain a professional appearance at all times.

Safety and Security

You will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to company policies and procedures. This includes reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management and participating in regular training and drills.

Requirements

  • Good verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A full 5-year work/unemployment/education history.
  • Valid passport and proof of address.
  • Full and valid UK driving license.
  • Criminal record check and airside security clearance.
