Avoiding greenhouse gas emissions is crucial for a sustainable future. At Affinity Water, we strive to minimize our environmental footprint. As an Emissions Analyst, you will play a vital role in this endeavor.
Responsibilities:- Data Collection and Validation: Gather and verify data to estimate our overall carbon footprint.
- Collaboration with the Business Performance Team: Work together to utilize outputs from the Water Sector's Carbon Accounting Workbook to estimate operational greenhouse gas emissions.
- Emissions Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely reporting of greenhouse gas emissions, adhering to external standards and ISO14064 verification.
- Net Zero Strategy: Drive continuous improvement in our net zero strategy by focusing on enhancing project emissions reporting.
- Emissions Reduction: Collaborate with the Climate Change and Carbon Manager to analyze emissions reports and promote emissions reduction initiatives across the business.
- Tracking Progress: Assist in tracking and reporting progress on achieving Net Zero targets.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to internal governance structures overseeing emissions reduction and the net zero strategy.
- Industry Engagement: Participate in discussions at conferences, events, and through publications to contribute to the wider industry's efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Key Requirements:
- Education: Degree in a relevant field.
- Data Handling: Experience with data collation, validation, and analysis.
- Excel Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
