Job Overview

The IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in maintaining the company's IT infrastructure and supporting employee-related IT cases.

As the position progresses, the successful candidate will have opportunities to contribute to the growth and maintenance of multiple locations and computer networks, as well as managing server infrastructure primarily based on Microsoft environments supporting 500+ UK&I users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain corporate computer systems and cloud environment.
  • Perform systems and security monitoring, taking mitigating action as required.
  • Perform regular data and operating system backups, patches, and software updates.
  • Maintain system backups, data archives, and system and audit security logs.
  • Collaborate with vendors and support engineers to resolve service outages or disruptions.
  • Ensure IT tasks or projects are accomplished within the designated timeframe.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain local and remote IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate accounting of corporate accounts and IT inventory.
  • Assist in deploying new hardware and software solutions.
  • Assist with planning, documentation, and execution of IT projects.
  • Contribute to creating formal documentation of IT policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Provide subject matter training for IT team members or company personnel.
  • Provide first and second-line technical support to employees of varied IT-skill levels.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate timely status update reports.
  • Compile information to support operational plans or technical recommendations.
  • Attend and contribute to regular department, staff meetings, or technical group discussions.
  • Contribute to team effort by performing assigned duties and performing other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a passion for solving problems and contributing to IT projects.
  • Comfortable working across Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems.
  • Experience with basic LAN and WAN technologies.
  • Experience supporting and administering Active Directory and O365 applications.
  • Any experience with VOIP Management or Print Management software would be beneficial.
  • Any experience with Apple Mac OSX is a bonus.
  • Any experience working in cloud-based environments is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client-server environments.
