About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and compassionate educator to support a high-functioning pupil with autism in a Year 4 classroom. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the pupil's academic and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to the pupil, adapting to their unique needs and learning style.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies, promoting the pupil's academic growth and social development.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages the pupil's emotional well-being and participation in school activities.
  • Support the pupil's social interactions and encourage their involvement in class discussions and group work.


Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with autism or other special educational needs.
  • A strong understanding of autism and its impact on learning and behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents.
  • A patient and empathetic approach, with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
