Job Overview:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Legal Cashier to join our team at Wright Hassall LLP.

About the Role:

This role involves maintaining the Office and Client bank accounts, ensuring receipts and payments are allocated in line with the Solicitors Accounts Rules.

Responsibilities:
  • Process client invoices, ensuring timely allocation of funds.
  • Set up CHAPS payments, including obtaining necessary codes and information.
  • Administer petty cash, filing, and other related duties.
  • Support with credit control duties as required.
  • Process cheque requests for disbursements, nominal, client, and office payments.
  • Maintain accurate bank account records.
  • Perform other duties within the scope and spirit of the post as required.
Requirements:
  • Cashier/Banking experience is essential.
  • Experience dealing with large volumes of cash/clients is desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting systems and Microsoft Excel is necessary.
  • Good understanding of accounting, transactional, and credit processes is required.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.
What We Offer:

Competitive salary of approximately £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

22 days annual leave (in addition to bank holidays), pension, life assurance, training and development, healthcare scheme, active social committee, and free on-site car parking.
