We are looking for an experienced Global Buyer to join our client's team in Maidstone, Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials and services while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also be well-organized and able to interpret the company's requirement plan and progress purchase orders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services from suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and quality
  • Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, aiming to secure the best value for the business
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, including costs and payment schedules
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of procurement activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software and technology
  • Willingness to obtain CIPS qualifications or demonstrate extensive knowledge gained through experience
