About the Role

This is a rare opportunity to join Teneo's well-established Financial Advisory team in Cardiff, where you will work alongside experienced practitioners advising management teams, lenders, and shareholders of underperforming corporates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with management teams to test and challenge short and medium-term financial forecasts.
  • Prepare financial and commercial analysis to support decision-making.
  • Assist in producing high-quality reports and information memorandums to support restructuring and refinance transactions.
  • Liaise with business owners and management teams to manage diligence information requirements.
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments on insolvency appointments, such as realising assets, managing suppliers, and instructing other professionals/agents.
Knowledge Acquisition
  • Review, challenge, and build financial forecasts.
  • Understand UK insolvency legislation and its role in restructuring activity.
  • Develop report writing, project management, and advisory skills.
People and Leadership

You will continue to build client relationships, business advisory, and people management skills, with opportunities to lead junior colleagues as your career progresses.

Business Development
  • Contribute to targeting, research, and development of project pitches.
  • Support colleagues in running key account teams, including participating in and organizing client events.
  • Develop an understanding of the market, topical issues, and Teneo's Financial Advisory propositions.
  • Expand your internal and external network to source future sales opportunities.
