Behaviour Support Assistant - Trafford

We are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Trafford. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with Secondary-aged pupils, providing a holistic approach to behaviour management and encouraging engagement and progress.

Your role will involve managing minor disruptions in line with the unit's behaviour policies and providing detailed feedback on specific pupils to support their re-integration into mainstream school. You will work closely with pupils with SEMH needs and have the opportunity to make a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide behaviour support to Secondary-aged pupils in a Pupil Referral Unit setting
  • Work closely with pupils with SEMH needs to promote engagement and progress
  • Manage minor disruptions in line with the unit's behaviour policies
  • Provide detailed feedback on specific pupils to support their re-integration into mainstream school

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
  • Ability to provide a holistic approach to behaviour management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely with pupils, teachers, and other support staff
