Cleaning General Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cleaning General Assistant to join our team at Sanctuary Supported Living. As a Cleaning General Assistant, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all communal areas, offices, and the kitchen to a high standard.
  • Identify and report potential faults and hazards on site to maintain a safe environment.
  • Ensure all cleaning duties are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Help prepare meals and drinks, following food hygiene standards, and ensure the needs of our customers are met.
  • Respect and maintain customers' privacy and dignity.
Requirements:
  • Working knowledge and experience of undertaking general cleaning duties is desirable.
  • Some experience of working in a domestic/catering environment.
  • Level 2 diploma in housekeeping/catering, or willingness to work towards.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • A general understanding of health and safety in the workplace.
