Digital Communications Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Officer to join our team at Premier, a mission-driven not-for-profit organisation based in Cambridge. As a key member of our communications team, you will play a vital role in implementing our Communications Strategy and supporting the organisation's vision to create opportunities, change lives, and overcome exclusion through language education.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation of the Communications Strategy, focusing on expanding audience reach and engagement, managing stakeholder mapping, and overseeing media and communication projects.
- Produce tailored content related to policy and influencing work, including social media and other platforms, while ensuring all communications align with brand guidelines and are accessible.
- Coordinate events, monitor media coverage, and maintain effective digital systems, including Content and Customer Management Systems (CRM and CMS), email marketing, and online platforms.
- Work closely with external partners and suppliers, managing communications budgets and ensuring the effective delivery of projects.
- Proven track record of successful communications across a wide range of disciplines and platforms.
- Experience of working in a comparable role, with a strong understanding of policy influence and communications at local, regional, and national levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present compelling and persuasive cases to stakeholders, team members, and senior management.
- Proactive, solution-focussed, and innovative individual with a can-do attitude, able to think laterally and creatively about opportunities and projects.
- Full understanding of GDPR regulations and their impact on Communications, as well as integrity and discretion over confidential information.
