About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Principal Software Engineer to join our team at Automation Squared Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in leading, architecting, and creating amazing experiences across our digital products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, architecture, and development of high-performance and scalable applications using proven approaches, frameworks, and technologies.
  • Work closely with other engineers, designers, project managers, and key stakeholders to understand objectives, requirements, and options for new or existing projects.
  • Deliver well-thought-through technical project solutions that exceed client expectations and are delivered on time and budget.
  • Support and lead other engineers through mentoring and coaching, and provide feedback where necessary.
  • Contribute to the approach, technical specification, and user experience of the products we create, working within cross-functional teams using an Agile development process.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience coding commercial React and/or React Native and/or Flutter applications.
  • 5+ years experience in writing Typescript.
  • Fullstack development experience.
  • Cloud coding experience - architecting, developing, and deploying backend applications in cloud environments such as Google Cloud/Firebase and/or AWS.
  • Prompt engineering experience to integrate with OpenAI, Google Gemini, or other popular LLMs.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience with software engineers.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary, cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, where you can 'keep it simple' and make complicated details and problems understandable to a non-technical audience.
