Nursery Practitioner Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Basingstoke College of Technology. The successful candidate will have a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and be able to implement best practices to ensure positive outcomes for children's individual learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the EYFS in a way that promotes children's learning and development
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality childcare and education
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and partnership working
  • Contribute to the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and challenging activities for children
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, identifying areas for development and implementing strategies to support improvement

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Childcare qualification or above
  • Sound understanding of the EYFS and its implementation
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to providing high-quality childcare and education
