Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's Engineering team at their Barry site. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering preventative, corrective, and reactive support to the operations team across all aspects of the site assets and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete designated preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the manufacturing equipment.
- Identify potential failures and plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks.
- Develop and implement solutions to recurring failures and improve overall equipment effectiveness.
- Source and manage external contractors and suppliers as required.
- Build relationships with group CI and engineering functions to enable continuous improvement.
- Support the development of engineering technician colleagues on site.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering-related subject, ideally mechatronics.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in FMCG.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
