Chief Financial Strategist

The Just Recruitment Group is currently supporting a manufacturing company based in Essex, seeking an experienced Part-time Finance Manager to join their team. This role offers the ideal candidate a unique opportunity to utilize their financial expertise and leadership skills to drive business growth.

As Chief Financial Strategist, you will be responsible for overseeing internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems, and managing budgets to ensure accurate forecasting reports.

This part-time position requires 3 days of work per week, with flexibility to accommodate your schedule but must include a Friday, preferably Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You will be working closely with the management team to analyze financial reports, present findings, and identify areas for improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing financial reports to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Suspending financial reporting and budgeting processes
• Reviewing company financial reports to identify cost-saving opportunities
• Identifying risks, proposing solutions, and managing stakeholder expectations
• Researching and reporting on business performance influencers
• Preparing and presenting statutory accounts to Trial Balance Level
• Managing payroll, VAT, and HMRC returns, as well as weekly cash flow forecasts
• Overseeing the purchase and sales ledger
• Responsibility for accounts receivable and payable ledgers
• Preparing monthly accruals, prepayments, and accounting entries

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong leadership skills to motivate and manage teams effectively, excellent communication skills to convey complex financial information, good problem-solving skills to identify potential financial issues, and flexibility to handle changing priorities and deadlines.

In terms of qualifications, you should have the ability to use main accounting software packages competently, such as Sage, Paperless, Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word, as well as AAT Level 4 qualification.

Based on industry standards and the level of experience required for this role, we estimate the salary to be around £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on your background and qualifications.
