About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team on Dune Ward, a dedicated acute admission ward for individuals with dementia. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with service users and their families.
  • Implement and evaluate care and rehabilitation programs, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Administer medications safely and effectively, adhering to Trust policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RMN or RGN) with a passion for working with older adults and individuals with dementia.
  • Experience in inpatient medication rounds and safe administration/disposal.
  • Proven ability to manage shifts, delegate tasks, and supervise junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge of care planning, risk assessment, and medication management.
  • Ability to reflect on practice and provide examples of continuous learning and professional development.
