Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Team Lead to join our team at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled developers to design and implement scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs.

You will lead code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebases, provide constructive feedback to developers, and participate in the design and implementation of technical architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of software systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of skilled developers to design and implement scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs.
  3. Lead code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebases, provide constructive feedback to developers.
  4. Participate in the design and implementation of technical architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of software systems.
  5. Mentor junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge, help them grow in their careers.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, apply that knowledge to improve software development processes and tools.
  7. Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices, enforce those standards across the team.
  8. Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
  9. Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects, ensure high-quality software releases.
  10. Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement company-wide technical strategies and initiatives.
  11. Participate in planning and estimation activities to ensure accurate project timelines and resource allocation.
  12. Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement within the team, encourage experimentation and creativity.
  13. Ensure that all team members have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles, provide guidance and coaching as needed.
  14. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors, ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  15. Make informed decisions that align with company goals and objectives, balance competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
  16. Lead by example, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
  17. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, apply that knowledge to improve software development processes and tools.
  18. Ensure that the team is working efficiently and effectively, identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this role is $200,000 - $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
