Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Development Team Lead to join our team at Regeneron Pharmaceuticals, Inc. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading a team of skilled developers to design and implement scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs.
You will lead code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebases, provide constructive feedback to developers, and participate in the design and implementation of technical architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of software systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of skilled developers to design and implement scalable software solutions using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop software solutions that meet those needs.
- Lead code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable codebases, provide constructive feedback to developers.
- Participate in the design and implementation of technical architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of software systems.
- Mentor junior developers to improve their skills and knowledge, help them grow in their careers.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, apply that knowledge to improve software development processes and tools.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices, enforce those standards across the team.
- Communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, facilitate effective communication within the team and with other departments.
- Work closely with QA engineers to identify and resolve defects, ensure high-quality software releases.
- Collaborate with other leaders to develop and implement company-wide technical strategies and initiatives.
- Participate in planning and estimation activities to ensure accurate project timelines and resource allocation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and improvement within the team, encourage experimentation and creativity.
- Ensure that all team members have the necessary resources and support to excel in their roles, provide guidance and coaching as needed.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and vendors, ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Make informed decisions that align with company goals and objectives, balance competing priorities and stakeholder needs.
- Lead by example, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and promote a positive and inclusive team culture.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, apply that knowledge to improve software development processes and tools.
- Ensure that the team is working efficiently and effectively, identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
Salary Information
The estimated annual salary for this role is $200,000 - $250,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
