David Phillips FF&E is a specialist contracting business operating in the PBSA, BTR, and Later Living markets. We are seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to play a crucial role in our success.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating commercially compliant cost estimates, preparing submission documents, and supporting internal and external reporting. This position involves attending pre- and post-tender meetings, undertaking cost estimating activities, coordinating design information and commercial input for bid proposals, and implementing the supply partnering strategy.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre- and post-tender meetings to ensure smooth bid preparation process.
  • Undertake cost estimating activities as part of bid preparation process to provide accurate commercial input.
  • Coordinate design information and commercial input for bid proposals to meet customer requirements.
  • Support the implementation of the supply partnering strategy to improve efficiency.
  • Arrange and conduct internal Bid Reviews as required to maintain quality standards.
  • Help create and maintain current costing information to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare materials for internal handover on successful securing of contracts.
  • Use and help improve estimating tools, templates, processes, and procedures to enhance performance.
  • Source reliable, bespoke suppliers for non-standard product costs to minimize risks.
  • Act as bid lead for allocated projects to drive success.
  • Take responsibility for managing client information and chasing missing information (RFI).

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Delivery of budgeted pipeline targets to ensure revenue growth.
  • Revenue and profit delivery to meet business objectives.
  • Estimating accuracy versus contract sum analysis at project start to maintain quality standards.
  • Compliance with customer requirements to build trust and loyalty.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office to streamline tasks and workflows.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus a range of benefits including employee discounts, discounted gym memberships, life assurance policy, health cash plan, 24/7 access to a GP, cycle to work scheme, SMART Pension scheme, employee assistance program, 2 paid volunteer days, and staff discount on David Phillips Furniture.
