As a Functional Assessor, you will play a critical role in evaluating the functional capacity of individuals with disabilities or health conditions, providing factual reports to support the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining their eligibility for benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough functional assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life
- Produce detailed, factual reports to support the DWP's decision-making process
- Work with complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions, chronic pain disorders, and other disabilities
- Collaborate with clients to ensure a quality and respectful assessment experience
Requirements:
- NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year's broad post-registration experience in the UK
- Proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
- Expert clinician experienced in working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions
