Company Overview: An established and growing firm in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Coach Maintenance Technician or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic / Fitter to join their maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and refitting of coaches and light commercial fleet vehicles.

This is a 45 hour per week role with some overtime offered/required in busy periods. The salary is estimated to be between £48,000 - £52,000 depending on experience, with opportunities for further training and professional development.

The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 NVQ in PSV or HGV maintenance, repair and diagnostics or equivalent, and at least 5 years industry experience of both mechanical and electrical systems. A PSV licence and welding experience would also be desirable.

The role requires the ability to work effectively unsupervised, use own initiative, and remain focused and consistent, with a 'can do' attitude.

Job Description: The Coach Maintenance Technician will be responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing in accordance with company policy, periodic maintenance inspections and repairs to both company and DVSA standards, preparing and presenting vehicles for MOTs, diagnosing vehicle faults and specifying the correct method of repair and warranty claims in line with terms.

The successful candidate will also be required to ensure accurate records are maintained, adhere to good housekeeping practices, attend on-road vehicle breakdowns, carry out vehicle road testing where necessary, comply with Health and Safety policy and guidance documents, and adopt methods of safe working.
