Role Overview

The Senior Paraplanner will play a critical role in supporting financial advisors by preparing detailed financial reports, conducting in-depth research, and developing comprehensive financial plans. This individual will be instrumental in ensuring that clients receive personalized and strategic advice tailored to their unique financial goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning Support: Collaborate with financial advisors to prepare detailed financial plans and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough research and analysis on financial products, market trends, and investment opportunities to support the development of client strategies.
  • Client Documentation: Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation for client meetings, including financial summaries, investment proposals, and risk assessments.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all financial plans and documentation adhere to industry regulations and company policies, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilise financial planning software and tools to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial planning process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with financial advisors, client service teams, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and delivery of client services.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry developments, financial products, and regulatory changes to continually enhance the quality of financial planning services provided.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in paraplanning, financial planning, or a related field, preferably within the wealth management or financial services industry.
  • Education: A relevant degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with additional certifications such as CFP, CII, or equivalent being highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop strategic recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all financial documentation and analysis.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Technology Proficiency: Proficient in financial planning software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools and platforms.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to a positive and dynamic work environment.
