About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years Foundation Stage team at a dynamic primary school in Northampton. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care, safeguarding, and well-being of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver engaging play opportunities within a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and hygiene standards are met, including providing refreshments.
  • Set up the play space, including rearranging furniture and play equipment.
  • Work within the framework of our preschool's policies and procedures, as well as the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication with all members of the preschool and parents.
  • Model good practice and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of each child.
  • Good behaviour management and organisational skills.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • DBS clearance or willingness to apply.
