Cleaner - Cam Road (Maternity Cover)

To maintain a high level of cleanliness and provide a comfortable environment for students and staff at the GBS campus.

Please note:

  • This is a 6-month maternity cover.
  • A DBS check will be required for this role.
Main Responsibilities
  • Support the facilities team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • Undertake general cleaning duties, including cleaning floors, toilets, windows, furniture, and fittings, emptying bins and receptacles, and removing rubbish.
  • Perform suction cleaning, sweeping, and washing of all floor areas to ensure they are free from dust, dirt, litter, smears, and stains.
  • Empty waste bins and receptacles, ensuring they are disinfected and free from odours, and safely segregate and dispose of rubbish in accordance with procedures.
  • Check that all cleaning equipment is safe to use before starting work and report any defects immediately.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a cleaning role in commercial premises is essential.
  • Practical knowledge of using professional chemical products and cleaning aids on various surfaces.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused environment is essential.
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively with all types of people.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work with a can-do attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for equipment and chemicals used.
  • Able to work independently to meet the requirements of the role.
