Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced midwife to join our team as a dual role midwife in our Triage department. As a band 7 midwife, you will have the opportunity to take on a leadership role and contribute to the operational oversight of the maternity unit.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Maternity Matron and Deputy Matron to manage midwifery and nursing staff, flow, and resources within the ward/department areas.
  • Be proactive in reviewing capacity within the unit and supporting midwives in effective and efficient discharge and acuity.
  • Develop leadership skills by enhancing professional and personal development.
Requirements
  • NMC Registered Midwife with substantial experience.
  • Previous experience as a band 6/7 Midwife with experience of being in charge/coordinating of shifts.
  • HDU High Risk Care delivery course attended and willingness to undertake.
