Role Overview
A role has become available for an Academic Historian to join our team at a Great Mixed School in Peterborough. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a school that has been categorised as Good in its most recent Ofsted report with outstanding pupil behaviour.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach History at KS3 and KS4, making a significant contribution to the academic excellence of the school.
Salary Information
We are offering a competitive salary for this position, estimated to be around £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Job Description
As an Academic Historian, you will be responsible for delivering engaging lessons to students, promoting a love of history and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons, marking and assessing student work, and contributing to the development of the history curriculum.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Ability to teach History at KS3 and KS4
- A formal teaching qualification with QTS (i.e. PGCE)
- Legal ability to work within the UK
