Job Title: Geological Consultant

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Geological Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the success of our projects and assist project managers and directors with the surveillance of existing and design of new tailings storage facilities and return water dams.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct site investigations and gather data to inform the design of new tailings storage facilities and return water dams.
  2. Assist project managers and directors with the surveillance of existing tailings storage facilities and return water dams.
  3. Perform stability analysis of various facilities and types of residue.
  4. Transfer knowledge and delegate work to a team of graduate, junior and intermediate level engineers.
  5. Manage projects and report back to project managers and directors.
Requirements:
  1. Postgraduate experience in geotechnical engineering or a related field.
  2. Good fundamental understanding and knowledge of soil mechanics.
  3. Experience in CPTu testing and interpretation.
  4. Experience in geotechnical investigations and related laboratory testing of soils and tailings material.
  5. Proficient in MS Office and geotechnical software such as Geostudio.
  6. Valid driver's license and passport.

  2. Good communication skills, fluent in English.
