Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator to join our team at AmcoGiffen. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for providing commercial and estimating support on our rail and civil engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the commercial team to manage multiple contracts and ensure timely and accurate submission of estimates.
  • Collaborate with site managers to gather information and resolve pricing issues with clients.
  • Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Administer contracts and ensure accurate final accounting.
  • Provide commercial support to senior quantity surveyors and commercial managers.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in quantity surveying or commercial management (HNC/HND/degree).
  • Contractual experience with NEC or bespoke NR forms of contract.
  • Experience as a quantity surveyor in a contracting environment.
  • Experience in estimating and pricing works from schedules of rates.
  • Experience in rail would be beneficial but is not essential.
