Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our Clinical Decisions Unit at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nurses in delivering high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate programs of evidence-based nursing care to a group of patients.
- Lead and supervise a team of nurses in the delivery of patient care, ensuring that high standards of quality and safety are maintained.
- Deputise for the Sister/Charge Nurse in their absence, taking charge of the unit and ensuring continuity of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new ways of working, promoting ongoing care improvement and research-based practice.
- Facilitate effective communication and liaison with other disciplines to meet the needs of patients, particularly in relation to ongoing care needs and discharge arrangements.
- Registered adult nurse with a minimum of 2 years' experience.
- Experience in an acute care setting, with a strong understanding of the role and its responsibilities.
- Leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
