Job Overview
First Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced Earthworks Examiner to join our Rail team in Scotland. The successful candidate will conduct site work to ensure compliance with end client standards.

About the Role
This is a contract position, and we are looking for a skilled individual who can carry out Earthworks Examinations according to Standard NR/L3/CIV/065. Key responsibilities include:
  • Conducting site inspections in line with industry standards
  • Preparing and submitting reports using handheld technology
  • Identifying safety concerns or defects and reporting them to the relevant authorities
  • Assisting in planning examination work-bank to mitigate risks

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Earthworks Examinations or geotechnical engineering/engineering geology in Railways. They must also be competent in NR/L3/CIV/065 standards and hold a PTS (Personal Track Safety) qualification. Additionally, they should be willing to travel across Scotland for site visits and have a full UK driving license and own vehicle.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
