Maintenance Manager Job Description

MC Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance function at a biomass power station in Suffolk. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and management, with experience in coordinating maintenance teams and managing budgets.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage short and long-term maintenance objectives for the site
* Direct a team of multi-skilled technicians to ensure minimum plant downtime and maximum availability
* Plan and execute plant shutdowns/outages
* Oversee the management of the maintenance schedule
* Develop and maintain records of plant maintenance, including work orders, PPMs, and planned and unplanned outages and inspections

Requirements:

* A minimum of a HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, ideally mechanical
* Experience in a management or supervisory level role
* At least 5 years of experience in maintenance/engineering in a relevant heavy process industry, ideally power generation
* A solid practical understanding of boilers, steam generation, and power plant operations
