Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Role

We are seeking an ambitious and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic team at Danecourt School, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and expertise in supporting students with special educational needs.

About this Role:

  • This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to take on a key role in delivering exceptional learning experiences and contributing to the success of our pupils.
  • The successful candidate will play a vital role in leading learning activities for individuals, small groups, or whole classes under the guidance of a qualified teacher and monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
  • You will be responsible for supporting the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging lessons tailored to meet the unique needs of our students.
  • As an HLTA, you will be expected to take initiative and lead the classroom in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity and consistency in learning.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Possess strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Have experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • Hold relevant qualifications, such as NVQ level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have a valid DBS check.
