Special Educational Needs Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at GSL Education Kent. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for providing individualized support to students with special needs in a vibrant classroom setting.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the educational and emotional well-being of our students. This rewarding role requires a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles and protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-on-one support to students with SEMH challenges, autism, ADHD, and other SEND requirements.
- Working with small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- CACHE Level 2 or 3, or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance (preferred).
- A degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field is desirable.
- Experience working with children in an SEN environment is essential.
Salary: £20,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location: Schools in Dartford, Kent.
