Academic Accounting Finance Business Partner

Reed Finance is partnering with a public sector client in Leeds to find a skilled Finance Business Partner. This role involves providing financial information, tools, analysis, and insight to colleagues across the organisation, challenging their thinking, and driving organisational strategy.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Analysis and Insight: Provide analysis and insight that reflect business performance, evidencing and presenting sound interpretations of the financial implications of achieving organisational outcomes.
- Financial Planning and Advice: Explore future financial opportunities through scenario planning and business cases, building strong partnerships with Directorates that support financial accountability and clear control over the financial levers of organisational performance.
- Financial Evaluation and Advice: Provide financial advice, including the allocation of resources and how short to medium-term objectives can be aligned and affordable within available resources, leading the monthly management accounts, annual budgeting, and quarterly forecasting process.
- Financial Expertise: Monitor and provide insight and advice on the financial performance of a complex portfolio of funding programmes, providing expertise and advice on financial matters to drive performance.
- CCAB part-qualified or qualified (CIPFA, ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, ICAI).
- Experience of making compelling business cases/reports to a range of audiences.
- Extensive experience of managing complex financial processes with multiple stakeholders.
- 28 days Annual Leave (increasing upon years of service) plus bank holidays.
