We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual to work as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant in a Newport Primary School. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on a child's life.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will provide tailored support to a KS1 pupil with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The role involves assisting the pupil with classroom activities, including basic numeracy and literacy tasks, and implementing strategies to promote academic development.
Key Responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with ALN
- Assisting the pupil with classroom activities, including numeracy and literacy tasks
- Implementing strategies to support the pupil's academic development
- Building a positive relationship with the pupil
- Communicating effectively with the pupil's teacher and parents to monitor progress
This long-term position offers a competitive rate of pay starting from £425 per week, plus benefits such as your own consultant and refer-a-friend scheme. As a valued member of our team, you will receive full support throughout your employment.
Requirements- Experience working in a SEN setting (essential)
- Experience working 1:1 with pupils with ALN (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS check (we can assist with the process)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) (we can help with the registration process)
