Job Title: Controls Engineering Support Co-op

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controls Engineering Support Co-op to join our team. As a Co-op, you will have the opportunity to work with our experienced engineers and contribute to the development of our automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Analyze existing engineering workflows and create relevant procedures or work instructions.
  2. Create process flow maps related to engineering processes.
  3. Create instruction videos or documents for mechanical and controls engineering processes.
  4. Analyze engineering data and identify areas for design-reuse.
  5. Produce working drawings and bills of materials for designs, sub-assemblies or product using various controls engineering software products.
  6. Analyze designs/drawings and systems for compliance to determine additional factors for internal Design Re-Use.
  7. Work within controls engineering software products to transition files through the proper workflows and update data servers as required.
  8. Populate program data to the engineering design libraries in a structured manner.
  9. Assist training coordinators in advancing training material through video or documentation.
  10. Assist stakeholders in advancing new technology or systems.
  11. Assist in the creation of technical content for the central knowledge base.
  12. Assist Training Coordinators in compiling and executing training courses.
Requirements:
  1. Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in Controls and Automation design.
  2. Post-secondary level proficiency in MS Office.
  3. Familiarity with some controls engineering software products for programmable logic controllers, robots, and other programmable devices.
  4. Strong organizational skills.
  5. Ability to establish priorities and work without supervision.
  6. Understanding robotics, control systems and machine operation with hands-on experience is desirable.
