Job Title: B1 Licensed Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Sales/Proposals Engineer to join our team at Complete Talent Services Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for commercial and technical bid preparation for new machine sales, matching client product capabilities to customer requirements, and meeting internal cost, quality, and delivery criteria.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Liaise with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, and Product Development colleagues to understand customer needs and requirements.
  2. Match client technical requirements with client capabilities, proactively identifying and specifying requirements.
  3. Produce timely and accurate responses to RFQs, ensuring that all sales and technical bids comply with internal processes and client directives.
  4. Use cost estimating systems and quoting tools to provide a cost-effective and technically capable solution.
  5. Develop new quotation models to support new product introduction.
  6. Manage pre-bid processes and reviews, engaging with all internal stakeholders.
  7. Collate Order Acknowledgement and ensure key stakeholders are informed for sign-off.
  8. Create Factory Orders in line with sales governance.
  9. Prepare Project handover documentation following an order for the Project Management team.

Key Skills Requirements:

  1. Demonstrable experience within a Sales Engineering/Business Development/Proposals/Tendering type role.
  2. Qualified in a relevant technical or engineering qualification, ideally combined with knowledge of machine tools and process knowledge.
  3. Supports front-line colleagues with the ability to form and maintain positive relationships with individuals at different levels within customers and internally.
  4. High attention to detail and ability to bring analytical rigour to work is essential.
  5. Strong commercial awareness and confident with figures and calculating costings.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and self-sufficiently, coupled with being able to influence and motivate others to action.
  8. Has a continuous improvement attitude and able to adapt to change.
  9. Good planning and time management skills, result and deadline focused.
  10. Understanding and previous experience of using SAP would be useful.
  11. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
