About the Role

UKCIL is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs to maintain their independence and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks, including laundry, domestic duties, and meal preparation.
  • Assist with accessing the community, appointments, and shopping, including transportation using a wheelchair.
  • Offer support with correspondence and administrative tasks, such as sending emails and making phone calls.
  • Support the individual to remain independent, while also providing guidance and encouragement when needed.
  • Participate in social and leisure activities, such as animal care and gardening, and support the individual to pursue their interests.

Requirements

  • Warm and friendly demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use initiative and work independently, while also being a team player.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Good understanding of the English language and ability to communicate effectively.
  • DBS clearance and a valid driving license, with access to a personal vehicle.

What We Offer

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.00.
  • A 67-hour working week, with flexibility to adjust schedules as needed.
