About the Role
UKCIL is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting an individual with complex needs to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and support with daily living tasks, including laundry, domestic duties, and meal preparation.
- Assist with accessing the community, appointments, and shopping, including transportation using a wheelchair.
- Offer support with correspondence and administrative tasks, such as sending emails and making phone calls.
- Support the individual to remain independent, while also providing guidance and encouragement when needed.
- Participate in social and leisure activities, such as animal care and gardening, and support the individual to pursue their interests.
Requirements
- Warm and friendly demeanor, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to use initiative and work independently, while also being a team player.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good understanding of the English language and ability to communicate effectively.
- DBS clearance and a valid driving license, with access to a personal vehicle.
What We Offer
- A competitive hourly rate of £12.00.
- A 67-hour working week, with flexibility to adjust schedules as needed.
