Job Description

Job Title: HGV Class 2 Cage Delivery Driver

Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled HGV Class 2 driver to join our team at Backline Plymouth. As a cage delivery driver, you will be responsible for delivering caged goods to retail sites in the Plymouth, Devon, and Cornwall areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver caged goods to retail sites in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Operate a HGV Class 2 vehicle and navigate through various routes and traffic conditions.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and securely.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Meet or exceed delivery targets and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Hold a full UK HGV Class 2/Category C licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
  • Hold a current and valid CPC and digital tachograph card.
  • Have a broad knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
  • Be clean and professional at all times.
  • Have good written and spoken communication skills.
