SENCo Opportunity at a Good Primary School

Vision Teaching is working with a Good-rated primary school in Islington to find a permanent SENCo to join their team in January 2025.

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and additional SEN Allowances. The school is committed to providing a supportive environment for students with special educational needs and disabilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work closely with the school leadership team to develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN and disabilities. This will include:

  • Providing guidance and support to teachers on SEN and disability-related issues
  • Preparing and implementing EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)
  • Liaising with the local authority to ensure the needs of students are met
  • Leading the school's SEN provision and ensuring it is effective and inclusive

The school has two provisions and around 30% of students are on the SEN Register. The successful candidate will have experience in safeguarding, SEN provision, and working with local authorities.
