Trust and Tax Manager Opportunity

A leading global law firm is seeking a skilled Trust and Tax Manager to join their Trusts and Probate team in the Tax, Trusts and Succession group based in their Cheltenham offices.

This hybrid role offers a great work-life balance, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home. The salary is up to £60,000, depending on experience, and includes benefits such as 25 days holiday, pension, private healthcare, and an annual bonus.

The Trusts and Probate team works closely with the firm's Private Property, Tax, Trusts and Succession teams across the UK and some international offices.

The successful candidate will develop broad experience in trust/estate administration and tax advice, while developing a more specialized expertise in the type of work that the team's core client base requires.

They will advise a range of UK clients on every aspect of tax planning, including trust accounts and taxation of trusts.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of Trust Accounts and a STEP qualification, as well as experience in a similar role.

They will have worked with taxation of trusts, including calculation of trustees' liabilities to IHT, CGT, and Income Tax, and their interaction with personal taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tax planning strategies for clients
  • Advise on trust administration and taxation
  • Work closely with the Trusts and Probate team to deliver high-quality services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • STEP qualification
  • Experience in trust/estate administration and tax advice
  • Good understanding of Trust Accounts
  • Ability to work in a team and develop relationships with clients and stakeholders
