About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our team at DP World. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions that meet their business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer account management matters;
  • Build trust and long-lasting relationships with customers across various departments;
  • Understand contract specifications and follow guidelines as indicated by the DP World customer interface;
  • Support the preparation of pricing, cost estimates, and commercial documents for quotation responses;
  • Defend pricing to internal staff and customers;
  • Ensure timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs;
  • Forecast and track key account metrics and communicate progress to stakeholders;
  • Identify new opportunities and explore ways to expand our service portfolio;
  • Support Senior Account Managers in quotation processes and presentations;
  • Monitor contractual KPIs and report to Senior Management.

Requirements

  • Degree educated in related disciplines (Finance, Marketing, or similar);
  • Demonstrated experience in Account Management, including pricing templates, cost databases, and supporting tools;
  • Excellent knowledge of the automotive industry, services, and products;
  • Good understanding of production and logistics channel processes and costs;
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with proficient oral and written communications;
  • Highly customer-focused with ability to build effective relationships;
  • Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions;
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to create structure and organization in a fast-moving environment;
  • Sound commercial awareness;
  • Able to cope with time pressure and flexibility to see the job through;
  • Willingness to travel between locations within Oxford, Swindon, and the Midlands;
  • Bilingual with German language skills highly desirable.
