About the Role
We're seeking a passionate leader to join our Restaurants department at our resort as part of a fixed term maternity cover until 30th November 2025. As a Venue Manager, you'll help our guests create smiles by providing a great dining experience. You'll be part of a team responsible for delivering fun and entertaining holidays to our guests. You should enjoy developing people and be passionate about delivering exceptional experiences by nurturing, training and coaching the team in a fun-filled environment. You will drive standards and lead the team to excellence, incorporating all brand standards and Butlin's way of working. Reporting to the Senior Manager, you'll enjoy the buzz of a busy environment and drive your team to maintain high levels of hygiene and cleanliness. You'll have the ability to drive consistent brand standards while being guest obsessed and operating efficiently. The role will also involve analysing KPIs and stock control systems to maximise gross profit margins and adhering to food safety and health & safety policies. As with all roles at Butlin's, no day will be the same and you will need to enjoy thinking on your feet, getting stuck in, and ensuring that our guest experience is always your number one priority. You'll work a variety of shifts between 9am-10pm and 2-10pm, covering 5 days out of 7, with support across the wider department at times, including weekends, bank holidays and Christmas working. This is a fixed term 12 month maternity cover contract until 30th November 2025.
About You
We're looking for an individual with prior experience in a food & beverage environment, with strong experience of being guest and customer-facing and dealing with a range of queries and sometimes complaints directly. You should be passionate about leading and developing a team and supporting people through regular 121s and coaching. You should have experience of managing rotas based on fluctuating guest volumes, experience in working with multi-skilled teams to support other areas of the business based on guest demand. You should be able to demonstrate experience of leading teams to success, to include proficiency in managing performance, coaching the team, delivering team training, setting standards and role modelling this behaviour, problem solving & feedback and able to manage multiple priorities and can adapt quickly to changing requirements. You should have a real passion for leading by example and inspiring others to deliver experiences that truly delight our guests. You should be an advocate for your team's fulfilment at work, ensuring that you are having regular 121s and PDP discussions to support their development and career with Butlin's.
