About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled HGV Vehicle Engineer to join our dedicated network of customer sites. As a Mobile Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and maintenance services to our clients in South Bristol, Wiltshire, Oxford, and Worcester.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of vehicle technology and the ability to follow the repair process from fault analysis to completion. Your day will start with your vehicle, and you will be required to travel within a designated area to provide:

  • Callouts
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Emergency Breakdowns
  • Pre-arranged servicing at rural sites
  • MOT Preparation
  • Engine work and diagnostic investigations
  • Correction of running defects
  • Chassis and fabrication work
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Improvement of vehicle standards
  • Electrical and wiring inspections and corrections

You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of your activities and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to hold a Class 2 Licence and have a fully qualified Commercial Vehicle Technician or equivalent accreditation via an authorised Apprenticeship. A strong understanding of vehicle technology and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
