Job Title: Fire Technical Officer

Great Places Housing Group is seeking a highly skilled Fire Technical Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Building Safety team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our customers and residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage fire risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist with the management of fire-related contracts and contractors.
  • Provide expert technical knowledge and advice on fire safety and building compliance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify areas of concern and recommend solutions.
  • Communicate with customers and residents to understand their concerns and provide information on our activities.
  • Work with colleagues to ensure effective liaison and communication on fire and building safety matters.
  • Monitor and report on fire and building safety KPIs and ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
Requirements:
  • Nebosh Fire Certificate or equivalent.
  • Level 4 award in Asset and Building Management Compliance (or willingness to work towards).
  • Technical knowledge of emergency lighting, fire detection systems, and AOVs.
  • Excellent understanding of building safety and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly and under pressure.
