The Role of Electrical Development Specialist at Wrightbus

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Development Specialist to join our team at Wrightbus. As a key member of our Electrical Engineering function, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and implementation of our Hydrogen and Electric zero emission vehicles.



Main Responsibilities:


  • Provide practical hands-on assistance to NPD electrical engineers in the development and testing of our vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicles or vehicle systems for testing and involvement in the testing process as required.
  • Conduct design of experiment testing and undertake sample disposition testing.
  • Support programming and commissioning of vehicles in line with the production schedule post end of line as required.
  • Assist with fault diagnosis on prototype vehicles and conduct first in batch specification signoffs.


Requirements:


  • HNC or equivalent in an engineering discipline or 3-5 years relevant experience.
  • Strong team player with good interpersonal skills and communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with good organisational skills, in particular time and task management.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to take on business travel and work overtime as required.
