About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Bupa. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, providing exceptional service to our residents, and maintaining high standards of food hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the link between the main kitchen and our residents, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to the highest standard.
- Assist the chefs in preparing meals, plating dishes, and ensuring that all preparation areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Monitor stock rotation, comply with company policies and procedures, and follow all mandatory COSHH and HACCP guidelines.
- Assist with catering for special events, such as summer BBQs and Christmas parties.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need a passion for food, previous experience working in a kitchen, and a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate. You will also need to be comfortable communicating with others, have a strong attention to detail, and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
